Operations Manager - Sheet Metal Engineering
West Sussex
Salary circa GBP45,000 plus benefits
The Operations Manager will work very closely with the General Manager at this market leading & very established sheet metal facility in West Sussex. There would be an expectation for you to progress to General Manager in the very near future.

A very established Sheet Metal fabricating facility with an extensive plant list.
Description
The Operations Manager will have the following responsibilities:
* Full responsibility for all operational activities within the site including manufacturing, quality, and logistics.
* Have a sound understanding of the estimating & order process.
* Reviewing forecasts, current orders and factory loading and flex resources accordingly to meet demand.
* Leading, developing and motivating the site team and monitoring performance.
* Ensuring plant, equipment and tooling are kept in good working order.
* Monthly reporting of KPI's.
* Identify and lead process Improvement projects.
* Ensuring HR processes and procedures are followed.
* All aspects of Health & Safety.
Profile
* Established Production Manager or Operations Manager within engineering ideally in the sheet metal industry.
* Knowledge of Precision Sheet Metal processes and production management.
* A degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
* A logical and methodical approach with good analytical and practical skills.
* Good interpersonal skills and a adaptable approach to management.
