SYR are looking for a marine engineer/technician to join a company based on the isle of wight.,
The ideal candidate will have must have experience working on Volvo Penta and be able to carry out the following responsibilities:
1. To ensure customer satisfaction in the service and repair of all vessels
2. To carry out day to day servicing and routine maintenance to a high standard and efficiently
3. To employ such thinking and skills as required to diagnose and address faults
4. To carry out pre-delivery inspections and testing
5. To undertake all aspects of leisure vessel maintenance including plumbing and electrics
6. To undertake all aspects of work to ensure the vessel is in a condition to present to the customer at time of handover, to include cleaning as required.
7. To report back to office efficiently including reporting of time, parts and customer updates.
8. To work in an efficient, safe and responsible manner with a 'can do' and 'right first time' attitude
9. To work observantly and provide office and customers with best practise recommendations and observations
10. To work independently on the job but also as part of the team with a supportive attitude and willingness to assist with parts and other departments
A full driving license is required for this role.
Salary dependent on experience and skill set
