An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Semi Senior Accountant to join a growing family accountancy practice based in their Croydon office.
Offering a comprehensive service that guides clients through the complex world of tax and accounting, this accountancy practice works with a variety of clients ranging in sizes and different industries, making it an exciting environment to work in.
As the Semi-Senior Accountant you will be responsible for;
* Preparing VAT returns for clients on various schemes with reverse charge & flat rate schemes and managing clients queries
* Preparing & reviewing statutory accounts for clients accurately with reconciliation & schedules to support all entries
* Prepare CIS returns for clients
* Prepare & review Self-employed accounts & rental accounts for clients
* Ad-hoc administrative duties
* Follow our internal work procedures & work standards
* Liaising with clients and third parties.
* Perform book-keeping for clients accounts where the need arises
* Company secretarial for limited companies including preparing stock transfer forms etc
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and the following skills:
* ACCA / ACA / CIMA / AAT qualified / part-qualified / qualified by experience
* Strong analytical skills & computer skills - particularly Excel
* Previous experience using Xero
* Excellent organisation, time management and a great team attitude.
* Confident, with good communication and writing skills
* Able to meet strict deadlines
* Proficient level of skills using Excel, Sage and other accounting software
* Speed and efficiency combined with attention to detail.
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Be professional, focused and logical.
* Excellent understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
