One of our key clients is looking for a SHE Supervisor to join their team, Teesside based.
Responsibilities will include:
* Active Safety, Health, Environment and Quality advocate.
* Improvement of all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards.
* Assist with Environmental permit controls, consent limits, waste management, recycling, month end reporting and safety meetings.
* Assist with Health and Safety Executive information requests prior to intervention visits.
* To provide competent advice and recommendations for risk management.
* Assist in the information gathering during investigations of accidents and incidents.
* Oversee first aid / safety equipment
* Compile and issue Safety flash's when necessary.
* Carry out safety observation rounds and permit audit for contractors.
* Actively uphold service principles, Safety essentials and values.
* To deputise for SHE management position when necessary.
* To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required.
The Candidate
You will be required to have demonstrable experience in the following areas:
* Experience of Safety, Health and Environmental roles within the storage, process, engineering or manufacturing industries.
* Experience of working within upper tier COMAH regulated sites.
* Experience of Environmental management systems.
* Fluent with Microsoft office package.
* Enthusiastic dedicated work ethic.
* Professional and unwavering support to Safety, Health and Environment.
* Approachable and flexible.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to deal with and challenge people at all levels.
* Keep up to date with all regulatory changes
