The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join us, working alongside the Senior Accountant and Bookkeeping Manager. Your role will include:

  • Client bookkeeping on Xero
    • bank reconciliation
    • reconciliation of control accounts
    • processing journals,
    • agreement to other client systems
  • Liaising with clients and HMRC on their behalf
  • Preparation and processing of payroll for clients
    • gathering all relevant information from clients
    • accurate processing of payroll and related journals
    • filing of all documentation with HMRC relating to payroll
    • ensuring client compliance with Auto Enrolment pension and upload of files

The right candidate will have...

  • A good knowledge of payroll and CIS
  • Bookkeeping experience

  • Willingness to take on responsibility and for personal development
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Meticulous attention for detail and accuracy
  • Full driving licence
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Excel

Experience of working with Xero and/or Bright Pay is preferable, but not essential as full training can be provided. Working within a smaller practice you will have the opportunity to take a job from start to finish and to further develop your skills. You will work with a wide range of business types and industries.
