The role

Spring Thorpe Hamlet is 43-place nursery in the heart of Norwich. We pride ourselves on the warm, 'home from home' environment we provide, where children are encouraged and supported to become independent learners. Our highly dedicated staff take time to get to know parents and children to ensure all of their individual care and learning needs are met: our philosophy is to actively encourage the involvement of parents so we can achieve our aim of ensuring children grow to be confident, happy and resilient.

We are now looking for Early Year's Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team of childcare professional's.

You will make a difference by:

-Working alongside nursery practitioners in supporting children's development, participating, planning and setting up activities for a range of children.

-Developing successful relationships with children and their families.

-Observing and track children's development and share this with parent/carers and other professionals.

-Supporting children during mealtimes and toilet training.

-Attending monthly staff meetings and 6 monthly parents/carers evenings.

You will need:

-Level 2 early years and childcare qualification e.g. NNEB, CACHE, Or minimum NVQ level 2 or above.

-Experience working in an early year's child care setting or a setting working with children aged 0 to 5 years.

-Safeguarding Level 2 or ability to achieve.

-A genuine interest in childcare & a true passion and love for children.

-Patience, a friendly manner, and the ability to communicate with children, young people, colleagues and other adults such as parents and carers.
