Exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager to support the growing production test department. Your key responsibilities as Test Engineer will be to conduct test support engineering, control special test equipment, and write test procedures, order parts for special test equipment. While performing various duties associated with assembly and test of highly complete assemblies like calibrating, maintaining and sustaining test rigs, fixtures and associated PC's, Networks and Databases
Responsibilities of the Test Engineer:
Test support and training of test personal
Analyse test problems
Develop test rigs
Special Test Equipment - Prepare schematic; design; order parts; fabricate; prototype wire; and checkout test equipment and test fixtures used in production test to functionally check the product.
Test Procedures - Write production test procedures from engineering specifications to assure that the product is being adequately tested in every parameter required.
Performs assembly/test/repair of highly complex assemblies
Education/Qualifications required of the Test Engineer
Experience working as a test technician
knowledge of electronic products including some mechanical understanding.
A working knowledge of PC operating system (NT4, Win2K, XP), Networking (TCP/IP), ATE s/w control (TestSan, LabView, Visual Basic, SQL). Good numerical and mathematical skill is required as well as an ability to analyse / debug ATE code.
Must have Labview or TestSan experience
