Trant Engineering Ltd has a long history of engineering and construction excellence, delivering high quality EPC engineering and construction services throughout the UK and overseas. We successfully deliver complex turnkey engineering projects in sectors such as Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas and Nuclear. We have over 800 employees and a healthy forward order book with a projected turnover of GBP180m this year.
We have an immediate requirement to appoint a hands-on contract P6 Planner to consult to us on a temporary basis until December 2021. The Consultant Planner will provide consultative Planning Services to one project only - a GBP10m multi-discipline engineering project comprising of civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineering that we have at Manchester Airport.
This temporary contract has been assessed and is outside of IR35.
The Planner will provide a full consultancy planning service for this single project and will ensure that project initiation, design, delivery and close out are all clearly highlighted and planned appropriately. The Consultant Planner should use Primavera P6, be familiar with Earned Value, Resourcing & progression techniques and have a good working knowledge of NEC 3 Option A.
The scope of works for this contract are:
* Preparation of schedule data for contracts
* Consult with the Contracts Managers to determine schedule rates for work activities and milestones to support project schedule
* Establish work sequence and activity durations for assigned projects
* Attend programme & progress meetings where Planning input is required
* Review and analyse the supplier's schedules submitted
* Preparation of Project Changes, Budget allocations
Requirements:
The Consultant Planner should also have a background in the project planning of Civils/Mechanical contracts should be able to establish work sequence and activity durations for assigned projects and be able to provide schedule knowledge on a continuous basis to assist in work planning and interfacing with others.
Qualifications:
HNC/HND/BSc in Civil Engineering or by experience
