Do you have strong 1st / 2nd Line IT Support skills but looking to do more infrastructure (Windows Server, Azure, VMware etc.)? Are you really into IT based technology and looking to grow your career?
Superb opportunity available for individuals who have good 1st Line IT experience, with some infrastructure based skills, looking to get into 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line Infrastructure support. In this role you will move away from the desktop and be more focused on Servers, Cloud computing, AD, Azure, Storage, Backups, Networking and Firewalls.
Main Responsibilities:
Proactively monitor and manage incoming auto logged calls through our monitoring
systems
Maintain full request documentation through to request closure and keep customers
informed of the status of their requests
Perform client system's health checks and reports as required and advise on necessary
actions that should be taken
Maintain and update internal documentation and database systems in a timely manner
Ad hoc build pc's / laptops and set up users as required
Assist with backups and restores management
Make management and/or account manager aware if the customer is not using the
equipment in the way specified or is not capable of meeting customer requirements/is not
performing to specification
Assist with project work when required
Required skills:
Troubleshooting skills, as well as simple installation of:
Microsoft desktop operating systems
Some Microsoft server operating systems
Anti-Virus - Anti-Malware products
Understanding and basic administration of users and computers in Microsoft Active
Directory
PC and Server hardware commissioning
PC hardware troubleshooting
Advantageous skills:
Experience with administering Microsoft SQL products (2008 through to 2017)
Experience with administering Microsoft Office 365 services
Use of ITIL compliant service desk
Basic Linux skills
VMware / Hyper-V experience
