About the role

Swan Housing Group are an award-winning housing provider operating in East London and Essex, locally managing over 11,500 homes, including social rent, shared ownership, NHS accommodation and supported schemes. Swan have always been a regenerating landlord and currently have a secured development pipeline of over 8,000 homes to be delivered using both traditional and offsite construction by our in-house developer.

 

We are currently recruiting for 2 IT Business Analysts, who will help transform the organisation's ways of working and culture as we look at changing how we manage and use our information.

 

Main responsibilities 

  • Communicate with the IT Business Partners and other stakeholders to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole
  • Capture and document functional and non-functional requirements for developing business systems. Map end-end processes in an agreed format (eg UML) for as-is and to-be states in people, interface and systems Use Case – as applicable
  • Work with IT Change Management process to ensure documents are updated as/when may be necessary
  • Work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service, function, or product provided.
  • Use data modelling practices to record, map and analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes
  • Consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make
  • Identify the process improvements and where information technology is required to introduce your recommendations.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops with internal and external stakeholder to elicit requirements and map business processes
  • Lead on the creation & maintenance of Business analysis processes & artifacts in IT
  • Produce written documentation and / or deliver presentations to stakeholders to support work and report on recommendations
  • Ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.
  • Work with project teams to develop test plans and scripts based on captured requirements / user stories.
  • Design and deliver training to other members of staff in the use of reporting tools

 

Person Specification 

 

To be a success in this role you will have strong experience working as a Business Analyst using modelling standards such as UML and BPMN. You’ll have great organisational skills with an ability to coordinate workshops and communicate with various stakeholders across the business.

 

You will have proven experience of process mapping, gap analysis and benefits realisation. As a self-starter you will be able to innovate and work under own initiative and be comfortable with continual change and have proven experience of being able to work to deadlines.
