Our client are looking for a Surveyor/Contracts Manager to join their busy surveying team. The ideal candidate will be providing surveying and project management on claims form a value of GBP3,000 to GBP250,000 seeing works through inception to completion.
Responsibilities
* Surveying damaged domestic properties and producing a detailed scope of works based on a client schedule of rates to ensure the commercial margin is maintained;
* Managing the works diary, arranging sub-contract trades ensuring continuity of work for each trade & ensuring the diary is booked at all times at least two weeks in advance.
* Adhering to clients SLA's in conducting surveys and submitting scopes within those SLA's;
* Managing claims from start to completion, issuing work orders to Trades and producing works programmes.
* Conducting regular site audits to ensure quality of works and adherence to H&S laws
* Checking on works as necessary & dealing with variations, scope queries & policy holder queries.
* Finalising closing and invoicing and producing all necessary closing paperwork including supporting invoices and photographs etc.;
* Full understanding of CDM Regulations and H&S laws;
* Procurement of new sub-contract trades as and when required.
Key Experience
* A minimum of 2 years domestic insurance industry experience
* Proven ability to manage a number of various sizes claims at any one time, arranging a number of sub-contractors so that claims run continuously through to completion.
* Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent IT skills and be adept at diversifying between multiple client platforms including Symbility, Synergy, Pulse and a number of Excel based schedules;
* Organised, methodical and used to working under pressure with the ability to prioritise
