Supply Cover Supervisors Needed for Secondary Schools in the Mid Sussex area

We are looking for some more fantastic supply teachers to increase the availability we can offer to our local schools in Mid Sussex . Working as a supply cover supervisor is a great opportunity to experience working in a variety of local schools before considering where you'd like to work on a long term basis, as well as additional classroom based experience prior to beginning teacher training.

The secondary schools in Mid Sussex are supportive and welcoming, some of them are easily accessible by public transport but others are only accessible by car. The Mid Sussex area covers Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath and East Grinstead area of West Sussex.

About the role:

We are looking for experienced cover supervisors to work on a day-to-day supply basis to cover both planned and unplanned absences, often at short notice. You will be leading lessons and covering in the absence of class teachers for varying subjects at a variety of schools.

What do I need?
  • Prior experience working in a secondary school environment

  • Flexibility, enthusiasm and motivation

  • Behaviour management skills

  • An ability to adhere to and implement schools' various policies
