Our Client Adler Pelzer are a worldwide leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of acoustic and thermal components and systems for the Automotive sector. They are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant working at their site in Tipton, West Midlands.

Overall purpose of the role:

To ensure the duties of an accounts assistant are performed in an efficient and organised manner, in order to support the finance function.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold or services rendered.
  • Resolving account discrepancies
  • Processing and recording transactions to maintain records and account status
  • Supporting Accounts Payable and Treasury duties
  • Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up to date
  • Working with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms
  • Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts
  • Generating reports and statements for internal use
  • Engaging in ongoing educational opportunities to update job knowledge

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and time management skills.

  • Experienced in Excel and Microsoft office packages
  • Knowledge of software packages such as SAP and Navision
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work to deadlines

  • Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
  • Carried out similar role previously

The salary for the role is GBP24k to GBP27K per annum.

Permanent role - 40 hours / week.

NEST Pension of 3% Employer and 5% Employee Contribution

25 days annual leave plus 8 BH.
