Job Role:
The position is based within a Design Office where you will be working on both pre-order and post order projects, developing design solutions, producing general arrangement drawings, sections, installation detail drawings and medium to small size component
manufacturing drawings, and checking the Engineer's submissions, all in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. It is the intention for the role to extend to be the lead liaison with external Design Engineers to as well as potentially liaising with architect's and clients, design team and site meetings.

Primary Attributes and Abilities:
A thorough knowledge of 2d AutoCAD that includes a working understanding of:-
- Layers, - their manipulation and a disciplined approach to using them.
- Block & Attributes.
- XREF's
- Drawing title blocks.
- Drawing Symbols.
- UCS manipulation
- CTB files
- 3d Solid Modelling
- File type formats i.e. dwg, dxf
Ability to produce all necessary drawings which would include Conceptual Visualisations, General Arrangements, Sections & Details and Fabrication Drawings all up to construction / manufacture status.
A good understanding of the manufacturing processes typically involved:-
- Working with Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Carbon Steel.
- Rainscreen cladding methodology.
- Aluminium Extrusions
- Material Finishes such as anodising and powder coating
- An understanding of fixings and fasteners
- An understanding of different material grades

Secondary Attributes and Abilities:
A proven working experience as a Cad designer with the Construction/ Fa??ade Industry sector.
Working to internal/ client deadlines and within project budgets is critical, so both good organisation & commercial awareness are
vital.
Experience working with large multi-storey steel framed, reinforced concrete and pre-cast concrete structures.
Knowledge of UK Building regulations and British Standards
Knowledge or experience working with web based drawing platforms.
Fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications and able to produce high quality documentation quickly.
Experience of additional CAD packages. Ability to use Revit may be beneficial
Formal qualifications in CAD City & Guilds, fa??ade design qualification.

Must have excellent communication skills, and have the ability to be an active member of the design team as well as to be able to liaise effectively with outside consultants.
