We’re now looking for an Electrical Technician / Instructor to take responsibility for the maintenance and servicing of specialist equipment and facilities in our Electrical workshop. You’ll prepare materials and provide technical support in the teaching and learning process, supporting and supervising students in the workshop.

Experience of working in a similar role, in a school or college environment is desirable, but not essential. What’s more important is knowledge of engineering practice, specifically electrical engineering, and the ability to use appropriate equipment and prepare materials. You should have recent industry experience including the latest installation and testing techniques following 17th/18th edition guidelines.

With the ability to work well with staff and learners, you will have excellent practical capability and problem-solving skills and work well under pressure, prioritising tasks effectively. You’ll have strong administration and IT skills and take responsibility for your own work and the work of other Technicians when required.
