SEMH Tutor

Teaching Personnel are working alongside Local Authorities and SEN teams in West Sussex to provide intervention support to students of varying abilities and ages. With the COVID pandemic over the last year and a half, more and more gaps are being noticed in the education of our students. Additionally, majority of the students we support here at Teaching Personnel struggle with varying needs; from behaviorual challenges, SEN needs and children in care. We are looking for tutors that can support these students in curriculum based sessions, whilst also providing SEMH support. If you are interested in this role, please read on.

About the role

1-1 or small group tuition
Face to face at the home of the student, local venue or school
Maths and English
KS1-KS4
Plan, produce and deliver tailored sessions
The Ideal Candidate

Experienced tutoring 1-1 or in small groups
Experienced working with children with behavioural challenges, SEN and children in care
Understanding in supporting individuals with Social, Emotional and Mental Health
Passionate, resilient and motivating
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (able to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
