STEM recruitment solutions have a superb opportunity for PCB Team Supervisor on a permanent basis for our high profile client based in Edinburgh area.
Working on a rotational dayshift and backshift
Description of Duties:
1. Overall control of all aspects of Production, including responsibility for all production staff under their control
2. Management of available resources to ensure production throughput targets and schedules are maintained within the quality standards required
3. Liaise with Production Manager on workloads and delivery schedules
4. Is responsible for production control within their department. This includes scheduling, progress, expedition, and control of remakes in tandem with fellow department supervisors.
5. Responsible for Holiday allocation and controlling cover for holiday periods if required in their department - also liaise with Production Manager, Operations Manager other department supervisors on shift cover if needed.
6. Ensuring production targets and goals set for the Company are met and processes are adequately manned at all times.
7. Report on why Department targets were not met and what actions are to be taken to rectify this.
8. Ensuring that the production is cost effective;
9. Ensure that production staff is adequate to meet production targets in their department.
10. Oversee all overtime arrangements, and make sure overtime is used cost effectively at all times in their department.
11. Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality
12. Make sure all staff under their control are trained to a level that allows them to carry out tasks safely and to the quality expected by the company.
13. Recommend requirements for new manpower, with cost justification when required.
14. Monitor the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed, in tandem with Operations manager or immediate supervisor.
15. Be aware of all process and machine capacities and make recommendations if required for new or upgraded process and machines to meet production targets.
16. Along With Process Engineer are responsible for the machine maintenance within their department.
17. Make sure process cover in their area is adequate and liaise with Technical / Process on any issues needing addressed.
18. Cooperate and liaise with departments, e.g. Quality, Process/ Technical, HR to achieve company goals
19. Work with other management and staff to implement the company's policies and goals.
20. Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all time
21. Supervise and motivate a team of workers;
22. Review worker performance as required
23. Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines are followed at all times, with overall responsibility for Health and Safety of all production staff
