Design Engineer
Up to GBP40000 per annum (depending on experience)
Permanent
Monday - Friday 40hrs (early finish on a Friday)
This is a permanent opportunity working for well-established and highly successful organisation that is now looking to expand their design team. The Design Engineer will be responsible for undertaking the design requirements for a variety of components. This is an excellent job opportunity for either an experienced Design Engineer or a recent graduate with either a related Engineering or Design related degree.
Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:
* Work conceptual designs up into manufacturing drawings and instructions
* Design products that address material availability, manufacture, cost, weight, delivery and installation
* Address any issues that relate to customers' existing designs or suppliers
* Ensure that manufacturing instructions are accurate and check the correct information is present.
* Issue manufacturing instructions
Skills and Experience
* Previous knowledge and experience using a 3D Package is essential (Solidworks)
* A degree within a design/engineering discipline would be advantageous
* Strong experience in designing solid-surface products for manufacturing
