Field Service Engineer
The Company
Leading supplier of forklift trucks and intralogistics systems, operating UK and abroad with 240 dealers Worldwide.
The Position
An experienced Field Sales Engineer is required to carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional and cost effective manner. This will include inspections and monitoring the safety of the repaired and maintained trucks. Working to strict planned schedules and deadlines you will be capable of working on sophisticated high-end technical products. The completion of job sheets accurately together with associated paperwork is essential, to ensure information regarding individual forklifts and equipment is shared including damage or requests for a replacement truck. Due to travel time and knowledge of the local area, candidates should be based in either the South East or North East, reporting into the local depot. You will be responsible for providing reliable information to the customer with regards to maintenance, consultation on repairs and to provide advice on the use of bespoke equipment. Also responsible for equipment and toolling (including van / technology goods, etc.)
The Person
As a Field Service Engineer you should have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing vehicles and/or machinery and have proven technical qualifications. You should have a good understanding of the materials handling industry and an aspiration to improve and develop within the role. Working closely with the Service controller, customer and Regional Service Manager you will need to have good communication skills, excellent time management skills and a desire to exceed expectations.
The Package
Paying a basic salary from GBP26K, with overtime and 'on-call' supplement. Standard hours are 08:00 to 16:30hrs Monday to Thursday. 08:00 to 16:00hrs on Friday. (39.5 hours per week). Reporting into a Depot based in Wakefield
