We currently require several production operatives for a leading manufacturer based in the Kempston Hardwick area of Bedford. The Production operative positions are days based, pay a basic annual salary circa GBP23k per annum, plus overtime at a premium is also available. The positions are initially on a rolling contract, but are likely to turn permanent for the right individuals, after a trial period.
Successful productive operatives will be working within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment for a UK wide leading manufacturer.
Key responsibilities of a production operative will lie in the following functional areas:
The production of high quality products, operating production machinery
Operations of a range of machines as part of a multi-skilled team
The packing of products
Ensure areas are inspected / maintained in accordance with local Health & Safety Standards and work within Standard Safe Operating Procedures
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE FOR THE PRODUCTION OPERATIVE
Experience of working within a manufacturing, engineering or construction based (industrial environment)
Numerate & literate
High degree of Health & Safety awareness
Setting up and operating machines in a time sensitive a 'right' first time, target driven environment.

Hours of Work: Days Only - 4 on 4 off Shift
Duration: Temporary potentially leading to Permanent
Remuneration: Circa GBP23,000 per annum plus training & increasing salary with experience
Training opportunities, such as fork lift truck and/or loading shovel driving
