Our client is a highly successful food manufacturing company in Leicester. Due to continued success they are now looking to recruit a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer
The Maintenance Engineer will be working as part of a team responsible for ensuring that nominated equipment and machinery is maintained in line and repaired when necessary to be available and fit for their purpose during production time; ensuring system is kept up to date and PPMs are completed; all aspects of site services repairs are managed effectively and efficiently to ensure the upkeep of the site is maintained; adherence at all times to Health and Safety / Food Safety codes; and having a close working relationship with Production and other business functions.
Duties include:
Electrical and mechanical diagnostic/fault finding techniques and the application of remedial work in a breakdown situation.
Electrical/mechanical competences, welding, basic machining, and fabrication skills are required to enable the engineer to carry out various "general maintenance" tasks within the engineering field.
Root cause analysis carried out on line performance and stoppages
TPM
Production line monitoring
H&S checks and equipment compliant, in place and working
The working hours are: 4 on 4 off: 2 nights / 2 day shifts working 6-6
The successful Maintenance Engineer should have a proven multi skilled maintenance engineer background, and solid mechanical and electrical experience. (Food manufacturing / FMCG experience would be highly advantageous.) You should have expert root cause analysis / problem solving skills, and a minimum qualification of City and Guilds / NVQ Electrical Engineering or equivalent. On a personal level you should be able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, commitment, reliability; have a professional approach at all times; work collaboratively with other departments to achieve best business outcome and have a delivery focussed mind-set whilst demonstrating flexibility to adapt and solve problems
Salary for the Maintenance Engineer role is GBP38,000 per annum
