SEN Sports Coaches Required for SEMH School! - Rugby
Are you a sports coach looking for long term work within schools? Do you have experience working with 4-16 year olds with additional learning requirements and Challenging Behaviour?
Look no further- we have the ideal role for you!
GSL Education are currently recruiting for Sports specialist Teaching Assistants to work at an SEMH Secondary school in Rugby.
This is a Temporary- Permanent contract but can become permanent for the right candidate.
The role includes:
* Providing 1:1 behaviour interventions for pupils who have challenging behaviour and SEMH
* Supporting the Class Teacher and HLTAs with daily tasks and planning.
* Taking small groups of children out of the classroom to use sports as a learning method
* Encourage learning and concertation in lessons
* Leading sports classes indoors and outdoors
* Support the teacher with planning, assessments and marking.
* Identifying triggers of specific behaviours
* Using sports as a method of de-escalating situations
* Acting as a positive role model
The ideal candidates will have:
* Experienced in coaching/working with children or young people with additional needs
* Experienced working with Challenging Behaviour, Autism and SEMH.
* Relevant qualifications, qualifications in multiple sports will be an advantage
* DBS certificate- registered to the update service
* Immediately available for long term roles
GSL Education also have the pleasure of delivering Long term cover to a number of schools across Coventry/Warwickshire. We are always looking for dedicated and passionate people, with backgrounds and education in Sports or Physical education to register for long term work.
