The Role
The Conveyancing Paralegal will play an active role in supporting the corporate legal service within Orwell. This will include having responsibility for the sale of all properties and providing support to the Solicitor for development acquisitions, planning agreements, leases, and legal agreements.
The Conveyancing Paralegal will have responsibility for successful completion of all property sale transactions and will work with the Solicitor to ensure the principles of good legal practice are followed and the Organisation is protected as far as possible.
As part of the role, the Conveyancing Paralegal will:
- Undertake Shared ownership and Open markets sales and resales
- Support Orwell’s Home Ownership Team
- Assist in the formulation, development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Undertake General Stock disposals
- Prepare and submit search requests for acquisitions, registrations of title to Land registry and Online Stamp Duty Land Tax returns
About you
- Our perfect Conveyancing Paralegal will:
- Be a member of the Institute of Legal Executives or the Council for Licensed Conveyancers or have relevant work experience
- Have a minimum of three years’ experience of working either in-house or in a private practice, undertaking residential conveyancing
- Have experience in residential property law and knowledge of residential property transactions
- Be knowledgeable in all aspects of Shared Ownership Leases, conveyancing procedures, and statutory adoption agreements
- Be able to work with minimal supervision and manage your own workload
