The role:

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Behaviour mentor to work in a local specialist setting within Kirklees. This will be a 1:1 role working with a specific young learner who has Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The ideal Behaviour mentor will have previous experience within this field, either in a Residential / Care or an Educational setting. This is a full-time role however we do encourage part time applicants to apply also. These roles will be working with young learners in year 1 who may have suffered Trauma and present challenging behaviours as a result of this.

The school

A specialist setting that cater for students with a variety of different Special Educational Needs and Disabilities but predominantly Social, Emotional and Mental Health. Graded 'Good' by Ofsted several times in a row, with an extremely supportive and successful team.

Requirements

To be considered for the Behaviour mentor role you must:

Have some knowledge of Social, Emotional and Mental Health.
Be adaptable and proactive, able to deal with challenging behaviour effectively.
Have a genuine desire to become part of a successful, hardworking team.
Have Team Teach training or be willing to attend the FREE course held by Vision for Education.
