Working as a warehouse operative, you will provide critical support in helping us deliver to local communities and our loyal customers.

Your application will be considered for a Warehouse Operative within one of our sites located in Doncaster . Those sites include: LBA1, LBA2, LBA3 and LBA4.

Pay:
GBP10.40 per hour for day time shifts.
GBP12.11 (GBP1.71 night shift allowance) per hour for night time shifts.

Standard overtime rates:
Overtime (40-50)
GBP15.60
Overtime (50-60)
GBP20.80

Contract type:
Permanent and Fixed-Term Contract Opportunities.

Working hours:
Fixed 4-day shift pattern, giving you 3 days off per week.
Your contracted working hours will be 40 hours per week, consisting of 4 x 10 hour shifts per day (not including 1 x 30 min unpaid break p/d).

Position Summary:
Watch what it's like to be a working as a Warehouse Operative in an Amazon Fulfilment Centre.

Your role as a Warehouse Operative:
As a Warehouse Operative you will be tasked to work within our two core departments, Inbound and Outbound. Each of which have multiple roles for you to learn and develop.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Receiving, checking and sorting the full range of Amazon's products entering the warehouse
  • Picking, packing and shipping customer orders
  • Adhering to safety, quality and production standards
  • Lifting and moving products up to 23kg in weight
  • Relocating products using forklifts, pump truck and power pallet truck.
  • Standing and walking for long periods
  • Feeling comfortable in lifting, bending and twisting, kneeling and crouching
High Level Order Picker (PUP) roles at Amazon (Opportunities in LBA2):-
What is a PUP? A PUP is a Person Up Platform. In this role, you will be working on a secure mezzanine at a height of between 9 to 12 metres. Watch what it's like to be a working as a PUP, and find out more here .
Do I need experience? No prior experience with PUP equipment is needed.
Will I be trained on how to use a PUP? Yes, Amazon provides a mixture of theoretical and practical training on working safely and securely whilst driving a PUP. Candidates who have past PUP or other MHE (Material Handling Equipment) experience, will still be required to successfully complete the Amazon training.
