Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a key client based in the Lincoln area as they look to appoint a Management Accountant to support the efficient running of the finance function. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will play an important role in ensuring that all statutory and compliance requirements are met.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

* Monthly Reporting
* Preparation of the monthly management accounts, to include revenue & gross margin reporting and supporting analysis.
* Tracking profitability of all projects and undertaking regular reviews with CSMs to assess and analyse project performance, leading regular formal contract profitability meetings with the MD and CSMs to inform the CSM bonus calculation.
* Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations for deferred income, accrued income, CoS accruals and Stock and WIP nominal codes (i.e. codes directly pertaining to revenue and gross margin).
* Supervising Assistant Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant to ensure timely and accurate reporting of overheads and review fixed asset, prepayment, accrual, control account and other relevant balance sheet reconciliations.
* Supporting the Group Sales Director with Sales Order Intake reporting and variance analysis and performing quarterly sales commission calculation reviews.
* Production of monthly/quarterly forecasts, annual budget and long-range plans updates.
* Oversee business partnering across the entire Finance Team to ensure regular liaison with budget/cost centre holders to ensure accuracy of forecasts, in addition to engagement, ownership and accountability for financial performance of respective cost centres.
* Lead weekly sales forecast update meeting to ensure pertinence of information and projections.
* Cost Control
* Review variance analysis performed by the Assistant Management Accountant to ensure overhead costs are controlled, variances are understood, and any opportunities for savings are identified and maximised.
* Work closely with the Accounts Assistant to review and audit credit card and cash expense claims to ensure compliance with the company expenses policy.
* Perform ad-hoc analysis for the Financial Controller and Finance Director as required.

To be successful for this role you MUST have the following attributes:

ACCA/ CIMA Part-Qualified
Have excellent IT skills (Excel)
Experience of working within a finance department in a commercial organisation for at least 5 years or alternatively a mix of practice and industry experience.
Experience of computerised accounting packages

Excellent communication skills, able to speak to a range of people at all levels (internal and external), including ability to explain accounting concepts to non-financial personnel
Be proactive and customer focussed, gaining detailed understanding of stakeholder requirements and striving to deliver great results
Build strong relationships with stakeholders inside and outside of finance, including both finance colleagues and other departments such as HR, Operations and Sales
Be enthusiastic, hardworking and driven to succeed and find solutions to problems
Experience of working within Manufacturing.
Excellent working knowledge of project management methodology
Excellent knowledge of health & safety legislation.
Good working knowledge of contractual arrangements.
