Learning Mentor - Littlehampton
Prospero Teaching have a full time position available for a Learning Mentor to join this modest primary school in Littlehampton from January 2022.
The Role:
As a Learning Mentor in this school, your day will be split between working 1:1 with a Key Stage 2 pupil during the morning sessions, aiding with reading and writing. Then, in the afternoon sessions, you'll work as a general teaching assistant across Key Stage 1, helping with the teachers to deliver and support their fun and engaging lessons. This will be on a full time basis, until the October half term.

Primary school set just on the outskirts of beautiful Littlehampton! This 2 form entry primary school is afforded some exceptional surroundings, and is very focused on community interaction. With a strong leadership team, this school supports their staff, both new and current in helping them achieve their career aspirations appropriately. As part of the learning support team, you'll be well looked after in terms of additional CPD offered.

Supply Teacher Experience, Training and Qualifications
You must have a degree of 2:1 or higher and have at least 6 weeks experience working with children and young people
Up to date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
Strong Behaviour Management skills are a must.
To be eligible for any teaching job with Prospero Teaching, you must;
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
Provide two professional child related references.
