Assistant Accountant
GBP25,000 - GBP30,000+ Bens + Opportunities + Study Support

I am exclusively working in partnership with a rapidly growing award-winning online gardening business in Wiltshire.
The Assistant Accountant will support the inspirational Financial Controller with the day-to-day operations of this ambitious company.
This is a great opportunity and time to join the company as the role will involve day to day accounting tasks as well as developing and implementing new accounting controls and processes.
Key duties:
* Coordinating the approval of invoices
* Assist in managing the supplier database, setting new credit limits.
* Preparation of weekly supplier payments for approval
* Managing aged creditors
* Prepare payroll information for monthly processing.
* Accruals, prepayment, journals month end reporting
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Prepare flash reports, partner with non-finance stakeholders in the business.
* Assist with VAT and import VAT queries.
* Assist with external audit activities.
Person Specification
* Minimum two years accounting experience
* Highly analytical, excellent attention to detail
