A Quantity Surveyor is required on a full time permanent basis for a recognised and successful local building/construction company working across South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire.
GW Recruitment are proud to be representing this family builders who have offices in Doncaster and work on various sites (normally up to 4) within 45 minutes of Doncaster.
As a qualified Quantity Surveyor you will have experience in the following areas:
* Review tender documents and prepare take offs
* Approving appropriate purchase order placements, scheduling deliveries and providing weekly project reports for the directors
* Assisting the directors with the preparation of tender bid documents
* Frequently liaising with clients regarding project progress
* Monitor costs of schemes against budget
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors and provide detailed survey reports in accordance with building maintenance programmes
Quantity Surveyor - Requirements
* Relative qualifications towards Quantity Surveyor
* Degree within Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (essential)
* A background working within the construction and building industry
* Background of working with main and sub contractors in the housing sector
* Strong communication skills
* Workplace experience as a Quantity Surveyor desirable (ideally 5 years experience)
The ideal candidate will have the desire experience, with a commercial head, but not too 'bullish'. They will be self supporting, able to go out to tender and procure the individual trades, be on hand daily to procure last minute items where necessary and support the site manager and company directors.
Salary & Benefits - Salary on offer is between GBP35,000 and GBP45,000 based on experience. In addition other benefits are available to be discussed on interview.
