Aqumen Recruitment is currently recruiting packing operatives for our client based in Mirfield WF14 our client is easily accessed from Huddersfield, Dewsbury & Brighouse. Our client established over 100 years ago, is a leading manufacturer of pillows, duvets & mattress protectors.
Due to continued accelerated growth our client is currently recruiting for machine operators on a long term basis.
Pay & Benefits:
?? First 12 weeks paid at GBP8.91 per hour Basic Hours Plus OT
?? Post 12 weeks paid at pay parity
?? Free Car Park
?? Ongoing opportunities

Purpose of the position
To be a team member in the packing department mainly focusing on quality control, packing of duvets & other soft bed furnishings. Ensuring you work in a safe and effective manner to support the business in achieving their production targets
Shifts:
Monday to Friday - NIGHT SHIFT
22.15pm - 06:15am
Key Role Responsibilities of the Position
?? Supporting on a production line ensuring product is packed in line with customer specification in a timely manner.
?? Repetitive & strenuous work
?? Place product onto pallets & safe use of a shrink wrap machine to wrap finished product.
?? Use of a PPT truck to safely move product from packing to dispatch
?? To maintain levels of QC
?? To maintain levels of housekeeping and ensure all recycling initiatives are adhered too
?? To work effectively and safety in line with all Health & Safety requirements
?? To carry out any other duties within the broad remit of the role as requested from time to time by the relevant supervisors and managers
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills & attributes:
?? Work experience in a Production or Warehouse role
?? Experience of working under time pressures.
?? Adequate literacy and numeracy levels for the role.
?? Good communication skills for liaising with colleagues.
?? Basic IT skills.
?? Reliable and punctual.
?? Willingness to learn.
?? Willing and able to work shifts
?? Looking for long term work
