Protocol are working closely with a college supporting them to recruit for a Work based Learner recruitment officer based in South Yorkshire.
The college are the largest single provider of education to school leavers in an area bridging South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire. They deliver excellent technical training and Apprenticeships for young people each year, propelling them forward to employment or undergraduate courses, taking an active role in supporting the local business community to thrive and succeed.
The Learner Engagement Officers will provide an effective and efficient customer service function to customers, including learners, outside organisations and staff.
Role responsibilities
To conduct telephone interviews to pre-screen learners
Support in ensuring learners are fully prepared for the first day of their programme and / or to attend their interviews with employers
Complete enrolment paperwork with learners across all programmes electronically
Advertise all programmes using a range of channels to stimulate applications including the website, social media, find an Apprenticeship, Local Job Centres, referral partners and other appropriate sources, to ensure learner recruitment targets are achieved
To develop, regularly review and update learner application processes and any associated website content to ensure continuous improvement.
The person & qualifications
To have experience working within education
have a track record of being able to communicate effectively with learners
have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get one
