Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Rotherham
Salary: Up to GBP40k DOE
Hours: 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday

Role Summary
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will manage all costs relating to complex building projects, seeking to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. When the project is in progress, duties include keeping track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability and or loss.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee all company projects ensuring efficient management and coordination whilst maintaining profitability, timely execution and highly quality standard
* Arrange to receive the tender, along with any contract documents, from Pre-Construction once being allocated the project. Negotiating with Client Pre-Construction.
* Discuss all aspects of the tender with those responsible for preparing the submission, and shall ensure full understanding of all aspects of the tender.
* Attend the Pre-Contract hand over meeting of a project.
* Offer advice on Value Engineered solutions, cost savings and alternative methods of construction to maximise value and minimise cost.
* Prepare and present the target prelims costs jointly with the senior site team and manage/report throughout the construction process.
* Preparing tender documents including bills of quantities.
* Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
* Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
* Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
* Provides reports on any potential insurance claim matters.
Experience, skills, and knowledge required for the role
* B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying.
* Experience in a similar role.
* Preferably MRICS and/or MCIOB.
* Driving License.
