GBP23,000 per annum + benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Assistant Service Manager to join the Avenues team at The Pines based in Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

The Pines is a supported living service which supports 15 individuals with varying levels of support and needs. Many of the people we support have very active lifestyles in the community and spend lots of time outside of the service. The role will be joining a team of a large support team lead by 2 Service Managers, 2 Assistant Service Managers and 2 Senior Support Workers.

On successful completion of your probationary period you will be considered to undertake a Health and Social Care Level 5 Diploma at no cost to yourself. This will assist you in career progression within Avenues.

In this role you will work closely with the Service Manager to inspire and motivate the team to provide a high quality service. Acting as a role model in the delivery of active support, you will promote and maintain person-centred approaches and inclusive community links. You will be expected to attend appointments with the people we support, participate in recruitment activities, organise events, review and plan support packages, support the team to attend training, support the team with probationary procedures, record and monitor daily logs, provide personal care, support with rostering, lead shifts, administer medication, and cover the rota where necessary.

What knowledge and experience should you have?

Have experience supporting individuals who have disabilities and behaviours that challenge.
Experience managing a staff team within social care or willing to be trained (including supervisions, probations, inductions)
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance (CQC)
Experience with rostering of staff
Ideally have gained a level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards
Be IT literate

Be flexible to cover the rota and shifts when required; 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 9am - 5pm and sleep ins 10pm - 7am (subject to change)
To be able to be part of an on call rota
