Salary: £39,739 to £42,149 per annum (USS .47 – 49)
Hours: 36.5 hours per week

Pembroke College is seeking to appoint an experienced, self-motivated and highly organised individual to the post of HR Manager.  Pembroke is the third oldest College of the University of Cambridge, founded in 1347, and has over 700 students and 80 Fellows plus around 250 staff members. It prides itself on its intimate but diverse community.

This leadership position will report to the Deputy Bursar/Finance Manager.  Ideally you will have experience of managing a small team, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to develop and proactively maintain professional relationships with all members of the College. The role will encompass both strategy development and excellent service delivery, creating an HR landscape that enables the College to attract and retain talent. You will play a central and creative role in supporting strategic change, developing and delivering innovative HR solutions.

A flexible working request will be considered for this role with some ability to work from home on occasion.  However, there will be a greater expectation to be based on site in the first few months of the role, to ensure in-person training and familiarisation with the College environment takes place.

The College offers a competitive benefits package including membership of a defined benefit pension scheme, 33 days’ annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays), free lunch (up to a specified monetary limit), access to a healthcare scheme, free use of an on-site gym and parking. Flexible or limited home working will be considered on request.

The closing date for applications: Noon on 20th September, 2021
Interviews will be held on: Tuesday, 28th September 2021
