We're currently looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our Democratic and Legal Support Team in Bakewell.

This is a great opportunity to find out more about the role of a National Park Authority and how it works while helping you to develop the skills and experience needed to obtain a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.
The Role
As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will provide administrative support in the following areas:
Corporate and Legal Support - Supporting all aspects of the work of the Authority's Legal Team including planning appeals, debt collection, refreshment licensing, and maintaining deeds records. Providing administrative support as required for the Chief Executive, Head of Law & Monitoring Officer and Democratic Services Manager. Arranging site visits and tours and other events as required, including transport and refreshments. Working with the customer and business support team provision of customer service dealing with telephone, electronic and face to face enquiries, sharing best practice, and participating in joint working by providing additional support as required.
Democratic Processes and Events - Supporting the operation of the Authority's decision-making processes by preparing and publishing work programmes, agendas, reports and minutes for Authority, Committees, Sub Committees, working groups and other meetings. Assisting with setting up and clearing up for meetings including refreshments, putting up notices, distributing papers, setting up for presentations and using the audio or video equipment. Supporting the operation of the Public Participation Scheme, dealing with enquiries and giving advice to the public on the Scheme, preparing the list of speakers and notifying them of the timetable for the meeting.
Member services - Assisting in providing administrative support to Members of the Authority including arrangements for attendance of Members at training courses, seminars and conferences and processing allowance claims. Maintaining records such as addresses, contact details and other records relating to Members.
About You
To join us as a Business Administration Apprentice, you will need:
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- To be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office
- Attention to detail with the ability to record information accurately
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
- A commitment to good customer care and ability to work as part of a Team
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and demonstrate impartiality
This is a full-time apprenticeship working 9am to 5pm with flexitime. There is no guaranteed employment on completion of your apprenticeship, however, we will support you to find a job internally or externally.
