Our client is an established and highly regarded company with offices around the South West, they have an exciting opportunity and are seeking to recruit a full time Legal Assistant / Secretary on a permanent basis to support their friendly Residential Property team.

A team player, the successful candidate will be a strong typist (60wpm+), and possess good communication skills.

On a day to day basis, your duties will include:

Accurately create and input documents from digital dictation onto the case management system
Draft straightforward legal documents using the precedents provided, filing documents online where appropriate
Assisting and supporting fee earners specialising in residential property matters
Opening files
Producing quotes
Contractual documents
Post-exchange and completion duties
Open and create new files, as instructed by the Legal Advisor
Assist the Legal Advisor with any aspect of file management, as requested
Prepare files for archiving
Attend to clients on the phone and in person, accurately recording any messages and passing on to the appropriate person without delay
Schedule appointments, arrange meetings, and maintain up-to-date diaries using the appropriate diary function, if requested.

Their ideal candidate will have previous legal experience ideally gained from working within a conveyancing team, be a confident MS office user and have strong organisational skills (minimum typing speed 60 wpm)
