Transformation Manager - New Children service - Winchester - Band 8a GBP47125 - GBP53286 - 6 month FTC

Your new company
My client Hampshire & Isle of Wight NHS CCG is a newly formed NHS organisation including 7 CCGs with their head quarters based in Winchester.

Your new role
The Keyworker Early Adopter Programme is part of the NHS long Term Plan for All Children and Young People (CYP) with a learning disability, autism or both, in an inpatient setting, to have a named worker/Keyworker by 2024. Southampton, Hampshire, The Isle of Wight and Portsmouth have received funding to become Early Adopters and to establish a team of Key workers who will work across the local system with families, to ensure children and young people with the most complex needs, receive appropriate personalised, integrated support.

This is a key role in setting up the new service that will be flexible and change according to priorities.
The post-holder will be leading on the development and implementation of a keyworker function for Children, Young People with Learning Disabilities and/or autism and their families/carers across Hampshire, Southampton and the Isle of Wight in a complex and diverse multi-agency environment.

Key tasks will be

Achieving change and unblocking systems
Challenging and influencing at a systems level
Create and encourage a culture which prioritises keeping children and young people within the home and local community by persuasively communicating with a range of teams and services and staff at different levels of seniority
Assess procedures, systems and pathways of existing provision and teams and identify areas for improvement
Identify system gaps that require understanding and contribute to negotiate mechanisms that provide the most appropriate solutions to deliver the keyworking function with a positive outcome for children and young people and their families.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have experience of setting up a new service within a NHS / local government environment. You will experience of managing people and leading operational change and working in a complex environment and interpreting complex information. Comprehensive experience of project principles techniques and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects is also key.

Naturally you will have an High level written reporting and communication skills. Ideally you will have experience of working in an environment relating to children and young people and their families but this is not essential

Salary GBP47125 to GBP53286 depending on experience
