Our client is looking for an experienced Governance Officer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Executive Support Team as Governance Officer and must be comfortable working on their own a lot of the time. This is a demanding role and will suit someone with a high level of resilience, strong communication skills and the ability to quickly build good working relationships with the Board members and Executive Management Team and collaborate effectively.
As Governance Officer you must be confident with a flexible attitude; high degree of integrity and professionalism, and the ability to remain composed under pressure as you will be arranging, servicing, and facilitating Board and internal governance meetings, co-ordinating papers and taking minutes. You will be required to work closely with the Chair of the Board to draft agendas/sign off minutes and arrange 121's with the ability to meet tight deadlines. A high level of proficiency is required in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
The role will also require you to work closely with Board Members and members of the Executive team ensuring that accurate records of Board and internal governance meetings and decisions are maintained. Planning the overall schedule of Board and internal governance meetings. Maintaining THH's organisational registers of Declarations of Interest and Gifts and Hospitality, as well as the organisation's statutory register. Co-ordinating recruitment/selection of Resident and Independent Board Directors on behalf of the Chair of the Board. Working with Executive Support team colleagues to provide cover to the overall Executive Support service and to act on customer feedback and performance outcomes to identify ways we can improve our services.
