Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Production Technician to ensure manufacturing orders (MO's) are completed in line with expectations of both internal and external customers. You will ensure quality is maintained, aiming for "Right First Time" approach on all build requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* To complete the assembly of the manufacturing order by assembling the product within the recommended company timescales.
* To interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, or other verbal or written instructions.
* Build up components and sub-assemblies into finished electrical or mechanical products
* Ensure products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer and internal standards and specifications
* To monitor the assembly process and carry out the relevant testing and quality checks
* Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery
* Report equipment faults to the team leader
* Fit parts to machinery and equipment
* Cut and shape parts and tools
* Set and operate hand-controlled or computer-controlled machines
* Make quality control checks on products
* Record how much raw material has been used during production and the number of items produced
* Pack goods, with protective materials ready for shipment in crates, stillages or other containers
* Seal containers using appropriate materials such as glue, staples or shrink-wrap
* Weigh and label packaged goods ready for dispatch
* Stack goods appropriately
Requirements
You will need to have proven experience in a Technical Production/Assembly role, working to strict quality standards.
