Quality Test Technician
* Permanent

We are currently looking to recruit a Quality Test Technician for a leading building products manufacturer that's expanding their team.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure all manufactured product provides a high level of quality that meets customer expectation.
Duties & responsibilities as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
* Responsible for testing and analysing manufactured product in controlled laboratory conditions, confirming that the product delivers against specification.
* Responsible for testing core materials, ensuring they meet correct specification.
* Input all test results in the format required, ensure all documentation is kept up to date in an orderly manner.
* Identify trends and highlight suggestions for improvement
* Assist with and prepare operational KPI data for analysis
* Monitor testing equipment performance to ensure process stability and control
* Be an important influence in product and process development trials
* Manage the laboratory keeping the workplace to a high standard
* Able to highlight any quality issues to management in a timely manner
* Support the Process Conformance Engineer with project work
* Satisfy the business' Factory Production Control requirements against all standards
* Any other reasonable tasks assigned by your manager
Skills and Attributes:
* Laboratory or testing experience (Desirable)
* Strong mathematical, analytical and technical skills
* Can interpret test data and material behaviours
* Can work diligently against standard operating procedures
* Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to think logically and methodically
* Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively
* Knowledge of statistical packages and Microsoft Office systems normally required
This position is easily commutable from Cardiff, Duffryn and Lisvane.
