Maintenance Engineer - Saint-Gobain PAM - Melton Mowbray

This role is working with Saint-Gobain PAM and you will be based in Melton Mowbray. PAM is the premier supplier of ductile iron and cast iron products. Our product range is extensive and includes; cast iron piping, fittings, valves, drainage systems, water/sewer pipelines, access covers and gratings. We supply to some of the UK's key utilities, telecoms, highways, civil engineering, construction and housing companies.

The purpose of the role is to provide a flexible electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer approach to maintenance activities.

The fundamentals of which are to restore, improve & maintain plant & equipment in order to achieve optimum performance, while working safely at all times.

Reporting to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for the completion of daily and weekly tasks in a timely manner, adopting an analytical approach to problem solving using WCM tools, to identify the root cause of failures, proposing appropriate corrective/sustaining actions.

This role is working on a four shift patters; Mornings, Afternoons and nights followed by four days off.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

Completed an Electrical Maintenance/Engineering Apprenticeship.
Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Familiar with organisational safety requirements e.g. Isolation & Permit's to Work.
At least 4 years' experience within an industrialised manufacturing environment
Familiar with organisational safety requirements e.g. Isolation & Permit's to Work.
Familiar with all types of AC/DC motors and associated control systems
Ability to replace analogue and digital components
Extensive knowledge of Inverters with the ability to fit alternative systems when required
Sound knowledge of 415V, 3 phase, 240V single phase electrical installations
Ability to read and fault find electrical and schematic drawings
Using The appropriate test equipment, ability to identify defective components
