Our forward thinking, dynamic client in Manchester is looking for a Credit Control/Accounts Assistant to join their ever-growing team.
Your role as Credit Control/Accounts Assistant will include timely collection of payments from customers, chasing invoices, taking payments, and assisting in accounts with month end tasks. You must be able to communicate effectively with internal staff of all levels and will maintain close links with customers and colleagues to resolve queries and highlight potential debtor problems.
Responsibilities:
* Answering incoming calls
* Credit control and chasing debts
* Calling for payment & following up with email
* Following up/sending emails
* Amending invoices
* Sending invoices and statements
* Chasing POs for payment of invoices
* Sending Solicitor's letters and dealing with bad debts
* Taking payments
* Dealing with customer queries
* Assisting with month end
* Support senior bookkeeper
* Update CRM with all customer contact/outcomes
The ideal candidate:
* Previous Credit Control experience
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications in particular Word, Outlook, and Excel.
* Ability to build a natural rapport with customers.
* A motivated and conscientious individual.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Excellent numeracy skills
Salary: GBP20-GBP25k
Hours of work - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM-5:30PM
