Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a leading manufacturing business in Ilkeston who are looking for a HSE Manager to support one of their successful sites as they embark on a large scale expansion due to winning a huge new contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join a business that are rapidly expanding into new markets and have a strong reputation in the market for exceeding customer expectations through a positive culture around safety and quality.
Reporting into the Production Manager, this role will support the site in making sure HSE is implemented and a positive culture is driven across all levels of the business through implementing processes and procedures from scratch.
Duties & responsibilities include:
- Comply to the companies ISO45001/14001 system, implementing and updating policies and procedures in line with this
- Regularly stay updated with new legislation whilst maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE legislation and developments
- Complete and update risk assessments in line with the businesses wider policies and regularly update where necessary
- Ensure that all HSE policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Complete the writing of Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Working Practices.
- Be experienced in Lean Manufacturing techniques include 6 sigma, SMED and kaizen principles
- Be a positive presence on the shop floor, delivering regular training to employees and being an approachable member of the business to all levels
I'm keen to speak to individuals with the following skillset:
- NEBOSH Certificate
- Extensive manufacturing experience
- Sound IT skills especially with Microsoft Office e.g. Excel
