Electrical Engineer

At our JBT manufacturing site in Livingston we have a brand new and exciting opportunity to hire an Electrical Engineer. The primary purpose of this Electrical Engineer role is to deliver robust electrical testing facilities to support all products and to take ownership of electrical test processes and procedures at JBT. Requirements
* As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, developing, delivering, and implementing robust, production electrical/electronic testing solutions to support JBT products.
* You will have ownership of electrical test facilities, processes, and procedures.
* The role of Electrical Engineer will be the link between Production Test and Engineering for new product developments, design changes, process changes and product diagnostics (development products, production & returns).
* Responsibility for installation of Software, on both new equipment and for our customer care department.
* As the Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with the control cabinet suppliers.
* You will support our install teams and manufacturing sites electrically.
* Management and responsibility of diagnosing root causes (fault finding) and implementing corrective and preventative actions for product failures and returns in our DR (Deviation Report) system
* Develop documentation related to electrical projects and engineering activities.
* Prepare drawings and recommend alternative component specifications.
* Perform with engineers to develop part and component parameters.
* Create protocols along with test reports for verification of design testing working with project teams.
Essential skills
* Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience
* Strong experience of PLC software downloading and minor program updates (Siemens, Allen Bradley and/or Omron)
* High level of competency on MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desirable skills
* Detailed knowledge and understanding of electrical control systems
* Solid understanding of VFD motor controls
