Maintenance Technician

Bladon Micro Turbine are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their Manufacturing team.

The Maintenance Technician will provide support to our manufacturing facility and the operational needs of the Production, Engineering and Workshop areas, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth running of the facility. You will have the freedom to suggest and implement improvements to increase production efficiency in terms of both cost, quality and to the manufacturing process.

As a Maintenance Technician with an Electrical focus within a small, dedicated team you will be responsible for ensuring all on-site plant and equipment is working as effectively and efficiently as possible. The role will involve all aspects of problem solving and project work, and you will be expected to implement continuous improvements individually and as part of a team using excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out maintenance tasks and improvements on equipment throughout the factory efficiently and effectively to enable production availability targets to be met
• Proactive completion of preventative maintenance routines in order to ensure a high standard of plant reliability is achieved safely at all times
• Development and implementation of autonomous maintenance tasks to production operatives
• Identification and ownership of continuous improvements by developing and executing plans in alignment with the Manufacturing team
• Carrying out structured root cause analysis of simple and complex equipment failure and the actioning of preventative re-occurrence activity to improve machine uptime and reduced time to fix
• Identifying and supporting the addressing of any safety / environmental issues
• Participation in risk assessment
• Accelerated learning of equipment to reduce reliance on OEM intervention
• Experience of PLC systems for fault finding
• Undertaking training where development needs identified

The business is currently moving into a new facility in Leamington Spa, CV34 6NG.

Essential Skills

Skills/ Experience;

You will have time served skilled maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent with sound exposures/experience within a manufacturing environment with Electrical 18th Edition Qualification under your belt. Knowledge of TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance), MTTR (Mean time to Recovery)/MTBF (Mean time before Failure) and a working appreciation of these tools and systems would also be an advantage.
