HR ADVISOR
WEYBRIDGE

Our client is looking for a HR Advisor to provide generalist HR advice and support to management and staff, with specific focus on Recruitment & Selection and Employee Relations.

To act at all times in a professional and dignified manner with all key stakeholders demonstrating enthusiasm and willingness to overcome business challenges with the ability to keep information confidential at all times in relation to sensitive subjects.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Advisor:

  • To manage the full recruitment cycle from start to finish, including CV shortlisting, conducting interviews, arranging selection tests & assessment centres as and when required and maintaining the recruitment database.
  • Administration of the new starter offer process including production of offer letters, contracts, reference requests, personnel folders, and input onto in-house system, passing relevant information in a timely manner to payroll and conducting the HR induction on an employee's first day.
  • To organise and facilitate company inductions for new starters.
  • Manage probationary assessments with new starter's line managers.
  • Producing letters and conducting exit interviews with all employees who are leaving the company and give feedback and analysis where appropriate.
  • Manage all work experience placements and liaise with relevant 3rd party stakeholders.
  • Support company with developing the employer brand.
  • Act as the first point of contact and manage the process of all employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary, variable working hours, restructures and capability reviews.
  • Give advice and guidance to managers and employees on both formal and informal HR issues and employee relations matters that may occur.
  • To attend employee relations meetings where minutes are required to be taken or HR support is necessary.
  • Develop and update policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with HR best practice, the company's statutory obligations, and current employment law legislation.
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook, ensuring parity with all of the company policies & procedures, best practice and legal obligations.

Person Specification of the HR and Training Coordinator

  • Excellent team player with an enthusiastic and positive outlook is a must.
  • Ideally some employee relations experience including handling disciplinary, grievance and capability reviews.
  • Recruitment & selection experience in handling all aspects of the recruitment cycle.
  • Experience of developing and updating company policies and procedures with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written.
  • Excellent IT skills including PowerPoint, Word and Excel spread sheets and analysis. Knowledge of Visio and/or Workday would also be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good presentational skills.
  • Diplomatic with the ability to handle matters in a sensitive and professional way.
  • Preferably educated to degree level with a recognised HR qualification such as CIPD.
