Opportunity is around the corner as Pertemps are working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Lincoln, recruiting for a BUYER to join an enthusiastic team.
As a key contributor to the Supply Team, the Buyer will be responsible for ordering all packaging, tray hiring and following up on key deliverables and outstanding items, monitoring and processing purchase orders, and performing other related administrative processes.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (7AM to 4PM)
Salary: GBP25, 000 to GBP29, 000 annually (DOE and NEG)
Position: 12 month Fix Term Contract
As a Buyer your Job Responsibilities will be:
Partner with cross-functional teams to implement ERP modules, including tracking, driving completion, and following up on key deliverables, and outstanding items.
Partner with cross-functional teams to initiate, create, and process new and existing orders
Place orders for the Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams.
Monitor and follow-up on outstanding purchase orders (POs), including contacting suppliers when necessary, to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner.
File purchase orders (POs).
Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
As a Buyer you will require the following skills and experience:
Have experience within manufacturing
Knowledge in ordering flexible packaging is desirable
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Ability to collaborate with a broad range of personalities.
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
Ability to quickly resolve challenges.
