An opportunity has arisen for a Relief Trading Assistant to join our exiting team of relief staff helping to support the branch network. The primary aim of this role is to undertake yard and/or trade counter duties throughout the branch network as and when required.

Myers Building Supplies has 14 branches throughout Yorkshire and is part of the family owned Myers Group. We are looking to recruit a motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our committed and experienced team supplying a whole range of building materials including kitchens and bathrooms. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful family business with strong links to the local community.

The role would suit someone who is enthusiastic and positive, whilst at the same time looking to take the next step up in their career. A number of individuals who have taken up this role have gone on to progress within the Group. It is important you enjoy working within a busy sales focused environment, whilst having the ability and adaptability to fit in with a number of teams around the branch network. Main duties and responsibilities:

- To undertake yard duties supporting existing branch teams as and when required

- To develop knowledge and skills of counter sales - Depending on current experience

- To ensure all suppliers, customers, visitors and staff comply with the Company Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

- To Assist with the day to day operations at the branch.

- Stock management

Skills and attributes:

- Must be reliable and willing to adapt to the needs of the branch network

- Exceptional customer service skills together with a friendly and positive attitude

- Ability of operate mobile plant as required, or willingness to learn

- The ability to work under pressure when required

- Must be computer literate or willing to learn
