* Double days (6-2, 2-10, early finish on Fridays)
* Salary c.GBP32,000 - GBP33,000
* 25 days holiday plus stats.

We are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for an FMCG manufacturing company that's expanding their operations.
The main purpose of the role is to service, repair, maintain & improve on site machinery and equipment while following relevant health and safety protocols. Training will be provided where needed but a degree of Engineering experience is expected.
Duties & responsibilities as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
* Responsible for trouble shooting and problem solving to maintain and enhance automated processes and packaging machinery.
* Build an effective working relationship with Engineers and Management Teams, by providing technical advice, breakdown support and explore opportunities to make improvements to current work practices.
* Develop and contribute to devising preventative maintenance plans for equipment to ensure that breakdowns are minimised and efficiencies are maximised
* Assist Team Leaders in the assessment of individual and departmental technical skills and competency levels against current roles and responsibilities.
* Contribute to the installing and commissioning of new machinery
* Ensure that current Health & Safety requirements are always adhered to
* Assist the Engineering Project Manager / Team Leader in project working and continuous improvement initiatives
* Responsible for creating, updating and administering Safe Working Procedures (SWP's) for the Engineering Department.
* Contribute to the training and development of apprentices.
Experience / Qualifications required:
* ONC in Mechanical Engineering.
* Worked within a high-speed, manufacturing environment.
* Good working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics systems
This position is easily commutable from Doncaster, Barnsley, Nostell and Pontefract
