Our client has continued to build and grow over the last 12 months, bucking the trend of many businesses. They are now in the position to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. Ideally you will be AAT qualified for currently studying towards a qualification. This role is more about the person however. Their products are unique to their business, made and retailed exclusively by them. Fancy being part of it?

Your role will involve the following;

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for all financial administration including recording and reconciling financial transactions – Purchase ledger / Sales Ledger / Cashbook / Inventory Control
• To oversee all aspects of finance processing up to management accounts
• Sales ledger management
• Processing sales invoices
• Working with wider team to ensure accuracy of sales data

• Purchase ledger management
• Account’s inbox
• Invoice fetching from various platforms
• Invoice checks
• Receipt bank (Dext) processing & coding
• Payment scheduling
• Matching invoices to purchase orders
• Inventory
• Maintain GRN log working with operations to ensure tight controls of the goods in process
• Monitoring cut off, receipts of stock, GRN process
• Inventory reconciliations & queries
• Daily & month end cash reconciliations
• Current account
• Credit Card
• Control account reconciliations
• Assist with completion of the financial month end
• Query resolution
• Adhoc financial duties / projects as required
• Occasional support to other team members
• Xero experience ideal but certainly not essential
• Solid Excel skills
